Ultraschall Berlin – Festival for New Music

The RIAS Kammerchor is taking part in Ultraschall Berlin, the joint festival for new music by radio3 (rbb) and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Since 1999, the festival has connected contemporary compositions with the music history of the post-war avant-garde, focusing on concentrated, critical listening rather than sensory overload. Alongside world premieres and works created in collaboration with the DAAD Berlin Artists-in-Residence Programme, orchestral concerts are also a key feature of the programme. Concerts are accompanied by artist talks, and all performances are broadcast on the radio.
