Jörg Genslein is a singer and conductor. Born in Bamberg, he received his first musical training with the Regensburger Domspatzen and then studied singing and choral conducting in Augsburg and Dresden. As a choir director, Jörg Genslein led the Renner Ensemble Regensburg from 2003 to 2010 and accepted invitations to collaborate with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Adam Fischer, Sir Roger Norrington, and Herbert Blomstedt. In May 2008, the self-confessed fan of 1.FC Nürnberg and passionate reader of Wolf Haas was elected the new artistic director of the TASK (Thuringian Academic Singing Circle) chamber choir. He has also been conducting the Berlin Chamber Choir since 2021. As a member of the RIAS Chamber Choir, the amateur chef can draw culinary inspiration from his many concert tours.
